The Pen: More Than Ink on Paper
We live in an age of condensed communication. So much of our lives is online, and we can't get through a single day without navigating an endless maze of passwords, "click to accept", and short, to-the-point emails and memorandums.
So, the art of writing has taken a hit. Our handwriting has suffered. Our ideas are reduced. Our imaginations suffer.
A pen is more than a simple writing instrument. Consider what you can do with a pen:
It is present when you sign the closing documents for your new home. A pen is waiting, quietly, for you to write the first line of the next great American novel - longhand. As a gift to a student, it's a symbol of belief: "Your ideas matter." Given to a teacher, it conveys gratitude and the simple message: "Your impact will live on."
A pen conveys our encouragement, our condolences, and our congratulations. A pen in inspired hands has the capacity to change the world.
